On the southern slopes of Crni Vrh, near the village Lozovik, there is a rich property surrounded by vineyards. The energy of this unique sunbathing climate, fertile soil and a long tradition in cultivating vines, has made it possible to establish a family winery Cilic.
A tradition that is passed on to generations
Cilic winery prides itself on the long tradition that is being transmitted here for eight generations. The entire family is part of this wine passion: believing most to itself, but listening to top experts, this family works together – on 15 hectares of land they plant and care grapes themselves, and choose the highest quality clusters, from which they will later get the wine of good quality. They say that nothing is difficult because viniculture was never a job for them, but love and special energy that keeps them all this time. In 2012, a modern winery was established in the family farm, which also has a showroom for all those who would like to see the authenticity of each drop of wine. They are very proud of one white and four black ones which they cultivate. To the question what is a secret ingredient, they say that nature and its benefits, as well as commitment and care, give their wines an irresistble note that recognizes even the most sophisticated sommeliers and wine lovers. They are especially happy for every yealding year because they know that each one brings something different. Quality is the only condition for them – only the wine found on their family table can be found on our own: there are no bottles which they are separating for themselves, but this old drink they share with all of us.

We love when we open the bottle of Fume blanc with smile, joy and in good atmosphere with friends. Already after the first sip, it shows us its full glow. Luxurious fruit aromas combine in a soft, delicious, fruitful taste, and juicy tannins lightly show their attributes while enjoying a long tasting. At one moment we feel a note of oak that we especially enjoy. Balance of the acid ligthly refreshes our senses while we share smiles with joy. And then… it almost insensibly gives us a full, rounded taste.
